Official Security Advisory:
https://support.cpanel.net/hc/en-us/articles/44397389677335-Critical-PHP-Security-Release-CVE-2026-109618-and-CVE-2026-109619

Action Required: Review Your Website's PHP Version

Although the server-side PHP packages have been updated, we strongly recommend that customers running outdated PHP versions upgrade their websites to a currently supported PHP version compatible with their applications.

Using an end-of-life PHP version can leave your website exposed to other known security vulnerabilities, compatibility problems, and potential performance issues. Updating the server packages does not automatically mean that every website is running a modern, supported PHP version.

How to Update Your PHP Version in cPanel

Follow these steps to review and update the PHP version assigned to your website:

  1. Log in to your AfeesHost cPanel account.

  2. Navigate to Software → MultiPHP Manager.

  3. Select the domain or domains you want to update.

  4. Choose a supported PHP version compatible with your website. Where your application supports it, we recommend PHP 8.2 or newer, preferably a currently supported release.

  5. Apply the changes and test your website to ensure that it works correctly.

Important: Before changing your PHP version, check the compatibility of your website's scripts, content management system, themes, plugins, and other applications. If you use WordPress, WHMCS, or a custom application, verify compatibility before upgrading. We also recommend keeping a recent backup of your website before making significant changes.

If you encounter errors after upgrading or need assistance selecting a suitable PHP version, please contact the AfeesHost Support Team through your client area. We will be happy to assist you.

At AfeesHost, we continuously monitor relevant security advisories and apply necessary updates to help protect our hosting infrastructure and the websites entrusted to us.
